Assignment 3  "Links, Tables, and Servers"

• Handed out:   Monday, September 29, 2008
• Due:        Monday, October 6, 2008 
• Goals: 
  1. Create a web page with different types of hyperlinks,
  2. Use a table for simple layout of content,
  3. Serve up your web page on the WWW.

• Details: Choose your own topic for a web site.  Create a main web page (HTML file), named index, default, or main, with the following features (grading categories):
  1. Text that is a link to a remote site.
  2. An image that is a link to a remote site.
  3. An “thumbnail” (size) image that is a link to a larger version of the image in the web page.
  4. A table of data with multiple rows and columns.
  5. Put your entire A3 folder (include all files) on a web (http) server such as myweb.nmu.edu, keeping track of the URL! Use an FTP client or My Network Places (MS Windows).
  6. Good style.  (see Assignments 1 and 2 for guidelines on style).
