INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING 3D GAME STUDIO (Instructor Version)
from the class CD



(1)  From the CD run (i.e., "open") the file "gstudio.exe"
     (this will install the old version of 3DGS)
     
     In response to prompts during install:
     -  I suggest putting gstudio in "C:/Program Files/"
     -  I think the installer will ask you for the "key.exe" file.  It is on the CD.  Browse to it.  (and don't copy it onto your hard drive!)
     
     
(2)  Next go back to the CD and run the file "updins51.exe"
     (to update Gstudio to the latest version)
     
     In response to prompts during update:
     -  tell it where the folder Gstudio is ("C:/Program Files/")
     -  tell it where the "key.exe" file is (only on the CD, right?)
     
(3)  Copy the documentation file "3dgs_manual5.chm" to your drive somewhere where you can find it.  (This documentation is also freely available on Conitec's web site.)


 DONE!
 
 
 Verify by checking if you can start 3DGameStudio from your Start->Programs menu.
