Gray Jay in the U.P.

Perisoreus canadensis

Gray Jay is a year-round resident of the boreal woods of the U.P. It is widespread and relatively easy to find in the appropriate habitat. Gray Jays are often quite tame, and usually respond well to food set out for them. Try the Peshekee Grade or Hulbert Bog.
