Paralyzed

"Whenever we do something really asinine, we might as well do it to music."—Camus

As you listen to these timeless masterpieces, please keep in mind that in 1984, when these songs were recorded, our thinking was that multi-track recording devices, expensive audio equipment, digitally remastered originals, and acoustically friendly microphones and recording studios were for sissies. That, and the fact that we had no money. So these classics were recorded on a cheap, portable, well-traveled, single-track tape recorder. In one take. With one microphone. In a tiny room in Dave's basement. They have not been touched up. Paralyzed was: Doug Baldwin on the bass, Phil Miller and me on guitar, and Dave Hanson and my brother Peter alternating singing and drumming duties (I indicate who played what on each tune). On the day of the recording, Phil and I were 19, Doug and Dave were 20, and Peter was 15.
