How to run Cosmo, the Netscape VRML Plugin

  1. Cosmo is the VRML plugin
    1. Cosmo displays VRML in a netscape window
    2. Cosmo is made by a different company to work with Netscape
    3. Cosmo won't always be there, but OUGHT to be there
  2. Learn how to navigate at cosmosoftware.com/galleries/chomp
    1. Click/Drag moves you. speed and direction dependent on the line you drag.
    2. Holding the shift key while moving increases your speed
    3. Holding control while dragging tilts you.
    4. The buttons at the bottom are (from left to right)
      1. Go to a viewpoint
      2. Seek to a ckiclied object
      3. Tilt viewpoint
      4. Move (the big button in the middle)
      5. Slide or translate (move without turning to face the direction of movement)
      6. Undo move
      7. Straighten (point in a sane direction)
    5. Playing the game, you should follow the obvious path (the world is too dull to explore)
      1. First encounter, duck on the surface
      2. Next, tuna swimming deep
      3. Another duck on the surface
  3. Convince me you know how to navigate by showing me the stadium at www.vnd.com/vrml.html
    1. First, show me the score of the game
    2. Then, show me the view from the 50 yard line low on the grass
    3. Finally, show me outside and above the stadium walls
