The Printing and NFS Task List


1-4) Set up printing WITHOUT USING ANY GUI HELP!!!!!.  Then make a text file with your
/etc/printcap and your name, print it, and give it to me.

5) Set up printing USING THE GUI.  Make a text file with that /etc/printcap and your name and print it.

6) Set up an extra printer that can print two pages per page.  Print that /etc/printcap and your name.

7-8) Do these things
  1. Become an NFS server.
  2. Make a file that is 10M in size.
  3. Reboot the computer.
  4. How long does it take to copy the file via NFS to the client? _______________________
  5. Reboot the computer.
  6. How long does it take to copy the file on the server from one spot to another? _____________________

9-10) Become an NFS client.
