Denial of Service

Definition:  Any attack that temporarily stops others from using the service.

Difficulty Rating:  Not too hard; generally this can be done.

Why: Any number of reasons.

  1. You're mad at the owner of the service.
  2. You're a competitor of the service.
  3. You're testing your technical abilities.
  4. You're a jerk.
