My academic activities

Research: My primary research interests are (1) sequential/multistage designs and their applications (e.g., in clinical trials, ecology, quality control & reliability), (2) statistical genomics and proteomics, (3) statistics in clinical and epidemiological studies.

In addition to these, I have secondary interest in (1) Bayesian inference and MCMC tech- niques, (2) data mining and statistical learning, (3) fuzzy statistics and possibility theory.

Contributed and invited talks: For a complete list, click here. Also, check out my recent introductory presentations on biostatistics, statistical shape analysis, hidden Markov models, philosophy of statistics, Mendelian classical genetics, fuzzy statistics and possibility theory (Parts I, II), spatial pattern analysis in ecological populations
