Southeast Arizona

July 2008

In July 2008, I attended ADAM 2008 at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. When the meetings broke I drove down to Cave Creek in the Chiricahua Mountains, my second visit to southeastern Arizona (in one year) and spent the next four days birding the Chiricahuas, mostly. I’m typing up this trip report eight years after the trip itself, so some of the details that would ordinarily inform my color commentary are a bit hazy; hence, I’ll cleave closely to the photographic record.
